Open Day Fun

Yesterday was Swinburne's open day, and once again this ment a day of answering questions about our new B.Sc. (Professional Software Development) degree. I dont know how many people I talked to, but I didn't stop all day. The two presentations I gave were great fun, and I hope people were informed as well as inspired by them. We had several give aways, including atomic magazine, and fun stuff like pens and flashing badges. For me open day was a great success. Lets hope the prospective students did as well... I look forward to seeing you guys next year if you did :)

I actually recommended the course to one of my wife's students and he went along. Hmm will be interesting in the long term how the students turn out vs the old BSE and BSSE courses.

I really enjoyed helping out on Open Day. Telling people how great the PSD was a great reminder of just how much I love doing the PSD. The team of people is great and the course has been designed really nicely. Whenever I pitched the PSD to any prospective students I made sure they knew exactly what I thought of it.
Open Day was a great success for the PSD team :D

I went along to support my brother, and came out of it seriously considering honours. And sporting one of those hot pink WICT tees...

I'm considering doing my honors next year. So many things I still want to do :)

Having just about finished the previous CSSE degree (4 weeks or so to go, woot!) I'm so happy for the new guys coming into PSD. Almost wish I had started a degree now, so I could benefit from PSD. PSD has a much better focus and is inspired and put together by all the best lecturers. We had a few that were previous era, lol.
